What does a creative introvert do in the middle of a pandemic? Step out of his comfort zone, turn to YouTube and continue his creative mission of helping 1,000 entrepreneurs launch their cigar brands.

First of all, I hope you all are staying safe during this Covid-19 pandemic, and trust you are doing your part in practicing social distancing.

For the past 16+ years or so, I’ve dedicated my career to producing great design work for some amazing people, and I’ve done it graciously behind the scenes. As a creative introvert, the idea of being in the spotlight is completely out of my comfort zone.

I mean, I really hate to toot on my own horn but in the last book I read, ‘Show Your Work‘ by Austin Kleon, I learned that I don’t have to talk about myself. But rather show the creative process of the work I’ve created and become a documentarian.

I truly feel the best medium for me to document this process is video, but at the moment I don’t have an office space or a video recording studio so my bedroom will have to do. So now my attention turns to Cigar Package Design’s YouTube channel, a platform I’ve neglected for some time, and is where I plan on sharing valuable design and production information with all of you.

My goal is to pull back the curtain and take everyone behind the scenes. Gain the inside scoop on all the work it takes to bring a brand from concept to design, to production to final launch. So come along for the ride and join me as I step out of my comfort zone, and step in front of a video camera, as I document the process of past, current and future projects.
